Nail Care Tips for This Coming Winter | Proform Beauty Supply

Every season brings with it a whole new set of challenges and obstacles that we have to deal with. For example, the summer months can be extremely hot, while winters are cold, snowy and freezing. But whatever the season is, you should always be prepared for anything that comes your way.

When it comes to your nails, however, winter can be particularly harsh as they are prone to getting dry and brittle during this time of year. This is why it’s important to take extra care of them starting now!

Here are some nail care tips for this coming winter:

1) Cut your nails short: During winter, it’s best to cut your nails short so that they don’t break easily. Long nails tend to break easily when exposed to extreme weather conditions such as extreme heat or coldness.

2) Use moisturizing lotion: For those who regularly use acrylic nails or gel nails, moisturizing lotion should be applied before every application to prevent cracks from forming around the edges of their natural nails. This will help keep them healthy and strong throughout the day. It’s also important that you moisturize after each application too! Use hand cream regularly. Cold weather can dry out your skin, including your hands. Apply a thick layer of moisturizer before heading outside to keep your hands supple and soft.

3) Protect your cuticles with a cuticle oil. Cuticles are very delicate and require extra care during the winter months when they tend to get dry and flaky. Applying a drop of oil on each nail will make them look healthy and shiny once again. Wear gloves while doing chores in the yard or outside in the cold weather, especially if you have a history of dry skin or eczema.
